On January 9, 2015, the Contract-signing Ceremony of Pauline’s World City with Taiwan Pacific Department Store was successfully held in Lonsun Hotel. Tang Chuan, Deputy Secretary of the CPC District Committee and Chief of the District, Liu Shiquan, a standing member of the CPC District Committee and Deputy Chief of the District, Qu Rui, a standing member of the CPC District Committee, Li Zhongjian, Deputy Director of the District NPC, Cao Dingfu, Deputy Chairman of the District CPPCC, Chen Qinghua, Deputy Chairman of the District CPPCC, and other relevant leaders of the District and functional departments, together with Chairman Du Jingang, General Manager Long Xiaoping and other responsible persons of the project, attended the contract signing ceremony.
At the contract-signing ceremony, Chairman Du Jingang expressed that he would adhere to the development concept of “taking design as the lead, and creating high-quality works with art” and pay attention to multi-perspective culture and art design. The design for commodity exhibition should be fashionable and individualized; the design of decorations should be conducted by using the modern method, with focus on modern, elegant and professional, so as to make the space more flexible and fresher. Outdoor environment design should be of individualized cultural characteristics that were integrated with the main building structures and the interior; outdoor environment would be introduced into indoor landscape design to realize organic unification of indoor and outdoor environments, and reflect the integration of culture, art, nature and fashion. The visual effect with strong and rich cultural and artistic content would reduce the visual fatigue during shopping, and provide a glorious visual feast! As the international leading light perception design was adopted for lighting at night, it would make the whole building colorful with individualized characteristics, like a magical building coinciding with the starry night. After the settlement of the Pacific Department Store, the shopping center would be named as the “Pacific Shopping Center”, which after completion would become an international shopping center integrating shopping, leisure, entertainment, catering, culture, health and other consumption functions; it would be leading new trends and fashions of consumption, and start a new shopping era.
In the speech, Zhang Qiguang, Chairman of Taiwan Pacific Group, expressed great confidence in the Pauline’s World City project. He said that he would use Pacific Department Store’s advanced management experience and scientific management process in the world retail industry, and invest 300 million Yuan to create Tongliang Pacific Shopping Center together with Chongqing Ziyuan Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. After completion, the Pacific Shopping Center would provide more than 1200 employment opportunities, achieve annual sales revenue of 600 million Yuan, gather Pacific department store, supermarket, food center, parent-child paradise, international film studio, high quality appliance, dynamic entertainment, coffee drinks, and other high-quality merchants, and shape the Pauline’s World City as an all-format and experiential shopping center, so as to meet demand of customers for one-stop shopping, whole family gathering and whole business reception in Tongliang District.
After the contract-signing ceremony, Liu Shiquan, Deputy Chief of the District, presented an important speech on behalf of the CPC Committee of Tongliang District, the NPC of the District, the People’s Government of the District, and the CPPCC of the District to warmly welcome Taiwan Pacific Department Store to settle in the Pauline’s World City; he also expressed congratulations for the successful completion of the contract-signing ceremony. Deputy Chief Liu Shiquan represented that the settlement of Taiwan Pacific Department Store in the Pauline’s World City would be of significance to the investment promotion and capital introduction of the whole district, and it would have important influence on the commercial development of the district. Relevant functional departments of the government would also provide overall supports to the project.
Finally, Chairman Du Jingang presented his traditional Chinese painting Fruitful Grapes as a gift to Chairman Zhang Qiguang of Taiwan Pacific Department Store, expecting that future cooperation would be fruitful with remarkable achievements.
